About Us
Formerly known as Project TURN, we were founded in 1973 by a group of parents who wanted to improve program services for adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. TURN began by opening residential programs in Ogden and Bountiful. Individuals with disabilities could live in a traditional home setting, participate in community activities, and have an integrated, more independent social interaction experience.
More than forty years later, TURN Community Services now provides services to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities in Utah. We provide services across the state from Brigham City to St. George, UT. We offer a full range of services, including day programs, residential living services, art center programs, summer camps, and supported employment opportunities.

Art & Educational Day Services
TURN Art & Educational Day Centers empower people with disabilities to express themselves in artistic ways, continue learning, and to experience and learn art forms in which they have not participated in the past.
Residential Services
TURN Residential Services provides support to individuals with disabilities who reside in a residential setting. We offer customized services specific to the individual needs of those we serve.
Mr/Miss Inspiration
TURN's Mr. and Miss Inspiration Pageants celebrate the dreams and lives of Utah County men and women with disabilities.
Pre-Employment Transition Services
TURN Pre-ETS is the best place to start your employment journey. This is available to most students? Do you have a 504 or IEP? Then you are eligible.
Vocational Rehabilitation
TURN Vocational Rehabilitation helps individuals obtain individualized job skills necessary for employment.
Supported Employment
TURN Supported Employment helps individuals find jobs that match their capabilities and their goals, and learn skills necessary to make them valuable and responsible employees for lifelong support in finding and maintaining gainful employment.
Summer Camp
Summer Camp offers ongoing learning opportunities, outdoor discovery, and community experiences for people with intellectual disabilities, ages 6-22.
Utah Pooled Trust
The mission of The Utah Pooled Trust is to manage financial assets for people with disabilities without compromising their government benefits.
Family Support & Respite Services
TURN respite care provides families with temporary relief from the day-to-day challenges of supporting a family member with disabilities at home.
