TURN Events

TURN Picnics

"

TURN picnics are an opportunity for the people we serve, their families, and our staff to come together, strengthen connections, and enjoy time as a community. From our annual company-wide picnic to gatherings hosted by individual programs throughout the year, these events reflect the family-centered spirit at the heart of TURN.

On August 22nd, TURN Hosted their annual End of Summer Picnic for clients, families, and staff.

Upcoming Picnics:

Day Program Picnic

September 10th, 11-2pm

Direct Support Week

"

Each September, TURN proudly celebrates the Direct Support Professionals who make our mission possible every day. Their training, flexibility, compassion, and willingness to step in when needed help ensure the people we serve receive consistent, high-quality support. Throughout the week, we recognize their extraordinary contributions with prizes, appreciation, and well-deserved thanks.

This year, National DSP Week will be September 13th-19th. Be sure to celebrate with us!

Labor of Love

"

TURN’s Labor of Love program helps bring Christmas to Utah children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who might otherwise go without gifts. We raise funds while support coordinators help identify individuals in need. Volunteers then shop and wrap gifts for TURN staff to deliver in time for Christmas.

Open Houses

"

When TURN opens a new day center, we invite the community to come see the space, meet our team, and learn more about the opportunities it will provide. These centers become welcoming hubs where adults with disabilities can build friendships, learn new skills, create, and take part in meaningful activities together. Our next open house will celebrate the new Red Hills Art Center in St. George, with the date to be announced.

World Folkfest

"

Each summer, TURN partners with World Folkfest of Springville to bring a private cultural performance to the people we serve in a relaxed Orem park setting. Visiting dancers and musicians share their traditions through music and movement, often inviting individuals to join in and dance alongside them.

Mr./Miss Inspiration

"

TURN’s Mr. and Miss Inspiration pageants celebrate confidence, individuality, and the belief that people with disabilities should have opportunities to participate fully in community life.

These pageants are designed to celebrate each contestant, with opportunities to dress up, take the stage, share their personality and talents, and be recognized by family, friends, and the wider TURN community.

With community partners, volunteers, performers, and supporters helping make the events possible, Mr. and Miss Inspiration have become meaningful TURN traditions.
